Dogs Available for Adoption

Delilah had hours to get to a rescue, otherwise the shelter was going to euthanize her. Delilah was rushed to an emergency vet where she had her tail amputated due to an injury down to the bone. It was there that the vet recognized signs of an abusive past. She appears to have bruising and signs of blunt force trauma, indicating she had probably been kicked in the rear end quite a bit. Despite her past, Delilah is extremely sweet and trusting of humans. She takes a while to warm up to other dogs and doesn’t like them in her face, but she is currently in a foster home with dogs and cats and is starting to come around. Given time and patience, we expect her to do just fine in a furever home with other animals!

Meet lovely Luna. She’s approximately 8 years old and 65 lbs. She is heartworm positive but is currently undergoing treatment. She’s a goofy girl who gets along with both dogs and cats and loves sleeping on her back. She's also a chatterbox and likes to talk to you, not by barking though, more of a low howling adorable noise. She’s a gem!

This sweet face belongs to marvelous Molly. She’s 13 yrs old, approx 80 pounds, housebroken, great with other dogs, cats and all the people she meets. She’s a go with the flow kind of gal. She enjoys sitting in the pool or being floated around. She’s inquisitive and likes to know what you’re doing all the while hoping you might drop a treat her way. She’s currently undergoing treatment for a UTI.

Meet winsome Winnie, a Cocker Spaniel mix who’s approximately 10 years old and 28 lbs. She’s blind and we believe she’s deaf but these things do not hinder her ability or curiosity to want to know what’s going on around her. She loves to be on the move, roaming around in the yard and sniffing all the smells the world has to offer. She also enjoys lounging on her bed and cuddles. She does her best to let you know she has to go outside to potty. Winnie gets along with all dogs and cats and everyone she meets. If a dog is invading her space (trying to knock her around) she will make a cute stance and correct them with a growl. She is a sill sweet girl with lots of life left to live!

Mr. Grey is approximately 10 yrs old and 12 lbs. He had such a bad infection in his mouth that his teeth had abscessed through both sides of his face. We only had two hours to save him, and through the help of a wonderful foster Mom and her vet, we were able to get Mr. Grey the surgery he so badly needed. He is now recovering nicely in his foster home and is showing such great potential! He is housebroken, good with other animals, and now that he is no longer in such extreme pain, we expect to start seeing more of his personality!

Snoopy is a charming Beagle mix who is estimated to be 12 to 13 years old and weighs 48 lbs. He is the sweetest boy and the most perfect house guest! He loves sniffing around a fenced in yard and is amazing with other dogs and cats. He is heartworm positive but his treatment is sponsored and will begin in September.

Auntie B.jpg

Bernice is an adorable toothy grinned girl estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old who weighs about 60 pounds. She’s a sweet, silly, spunky girl who gets along great with other dogs. Cat testing can be done upon request.

Gizmo - 1.jpg

Gizmo was found on the side of the road with nails so long they were curled around…twice. He had missing patches of fur, eyes crusted over, and the vet said his ears were so inflamed they could hardly get through his ear canal to clean them. He was given 24 hours by the shelter to find rescue or else they had decided to “humanely euthanize”. We found a temporary foster and placed a rescue hold within 25 minutes of his deadline. The next morning we had him transported directly from the shelter to our vet, where he was cleaned up and given a mohawk…and we think it suits him perfectly. Gizmo has a long road ahead of him, but we are hoping with some TLC that this boy will finally get to know how it feels to be a spoiled and loved little dog.

Woofie - 1.jpg

This is Woofie! Woofie is estimated at 8 years old and weighs around 45 lbs. He is a somewhat shy and goofy boy, who gets along great with other dogs and cats. He loves laying around on cool tile, sniffing in a fenced in backyard or going for leashed walks. Woofie would do best in a home without smaller children.

Mrs. Dinkles - 1.jpg

Mrs. Dinkles! This adorable mush of a dog is estimated around 8-10 years old and is great with other dogs and kids. She is as sweet as can be, and just loves attention. If you even think about petting another dog, Mrs. Dinkles will swoop right in to make sure you haven’t forgotten about her. Mrs. Dinkles has some skin issues and masses we need to figure out. We are hoping to get her on the right path to a healthy lifestyle very soon! In the meantime, she is soaking up all the love from her foster family!

Whiskey Tango.jpg

Whiskey and Tango are bonded 13 year old brothers who have been together all their lives need to stay together. They weigh around 25 pounds each. Whiskey and Tango absolutely LOVE rolling around in the grass, and sniffing around outside. They get a little overstimulated around other dogs but do well with them. They would do best in a home without cats. Whiskey is a bit shy but both are absolute loves and enjoy getting affection and giving kisses.

Bella - 1.jpg

Meet Bella! Bella is the most adorable little sausage, I mean beagle mix, you will ever meet! She is a tad overweight, however we found out that she has low thyroid, and so with medication and a better diet she should be at fighting weight soon! But Bella is not a fighter at all…she is a total lover. She came into rescue with her best friend and brother Buddy. These two are inseparable and must be adopted together. They are an adorable and low maintenance pair that love walks, naps, and apples! They are also great with other dogs and children.

Buddy - 1.PNG

This is Buddy. Buddy is 78 pounds and approximately 10 years old. He is a calm sweet soul, and came into our rescue with his sister Bella. Bella and Buddy are a bonded pair that have lived together all their lives, and they must be adopted together. Buddy enjoys going for walks, sniffing his surroundings, and laying in a dog bed. He sometimes gets playful with his sister, but most of the times has a calm quiet energy. He is great with other dogs, and very interested in and wanting to chase the cat in his foster home!

We are calling this little nugget….Little Nugget! Little Nugget is 12 pounds and estimated at 9-10 years old. He was found wandering a very nice neighborhood with no collar or microchip. Reports were filed, signs were posted, and doors were knocked on. All efforts were made to find his owner, but nobody came for Nugget. So we took him into rescue, so he didn’t have to go to the shelter. He is super sweet and adorable. He LOVES to follow his people around, and would be best suited for a family where a person or people are home most of the time. Nugget gets along with both dogs and cats, and when he’s not following you around he can be found napping in a dog bed, on the tile, or on the couch by your side. He is also diabetic, which means he requires insulin shots twice a day with his meals. He still has a long and happy life ahead of him! Please complete an application to make this little nugget part of your family.
